Entrance had high levels of 'tailgating,' see map

As we continue checking and adjusting weapons screening, we have identified a risk point on the Salem Hospital campus that needs to change.

Due to high levels of “tailgating,” Salem Hospital’s northwest entry to Building B (circled in green below) permanently closed Monday, Jan. 8.

“Tailgating” (when someone follows an employee through a badge-access entrance without badging in themselves) is a concern we have been monitoring. Remember: When entering a badge-access entrance, do not allow patients and visitors to enter behind you. Patients and visitors must enter through a security screening site.
